New Center for Bioremediation

On March 28 in Lukavac near Tuzla, Kemis BH, owned by Gorenje Surovina d.o.o., opened the door of the largest Center for Bioremediation in SE Europe. Bioremediation is a treatment process based on natural processes in which microorganisms alter environmental pollution in soil, groundwater and sediments to harmless end products.
The Center, in which contaminated soil from the region will be processed, is a joint project of partner companies Kemis BH and Dekonta. Together with the facilities for handling hazardous waste, the Center extends over 8,000m2.
